Order Desk/Customer Support


Responsible for telephone and retail counter sales, including timely and courteous processing of orders and deliveries.  Placing special orders and the specification of automotive parts as needed.  Provide inside support to assigned sales team members.  Prepare requisition orders to replenish parts and supplies.  Prepare and track work orders.  Answer inquiries, handle cash transactions, and answer telephones and relay messages.


  • Accesses automated parts look-up system/cataloguing system
  • Determines availability of parts, verifies manufacture’s stock on-hand, and price of parts
  • Creates orders, special orders and invoices and credit notes, arranging parts for delivery or pick up
  • Determine alternate source of parts
  • Check cross-reference guides, Identifies additional required parts
  • Over the phone, and retail transactions, identifying and verifying customer needs
  • Inform customers of promotions and products
  • Explain return policies and product warranty
  • Manage customer complaints
  • Inspect and process customer credit notes
  • Maintain customer relations and sales encourage customer satisfaction- providing the right part at the right price at the right time

  • Strong knowledge of Automotive aftermarket parts as well as ACDelco part specification
  • Available for shifts Monday – Saturday 
  • 5 years or more in similar position
  • Significant use of memory, numeracy and problem solving skills
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines and under pressure 
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work station
  • Attends meetings as required

Other Assets:
  • AS400 experience 
  • High attention to detail
  • General office duties as required 
  • Task planning and organization
  • Fluent in English reading text, verbal and written communications
